Finished

Well, after so many mentions (is that a word?) about the chair that I've been working on, it's only right to prove that in fact it's finished with a picture.

I'm happy with the overall result. I still need to do the two throw pillows that come with the chair, but it's functional as is, and those will have to wait until after Christmas projects are over.

Work's been busy lately, and I'm getting that familiar panicked feeling again that happens each winter, that there's always more to do at the end of the day, and debating if I really want to work late, or just accept what can be finished in the usual work day. Anything beyond that will get finished as time permits. Happens every year about this time, and this year we're releasing a new version of one of our programs- so it's even more enjoyable, (she says sarcastically).

The good news is we are rid of our Jetta headache. Yea! Joseph's car has been one of those where it was really a good car for the first few years, but then just keeps having more and more go wrong. Since he bought it new, we were expecting to get a lot better life out of it since he's been religious about the maintenance with it. Well, not so, and so we decided to trade it in for something else. We were able to trade it in without having to finance anything new, and got a '98 BMW 528i. It's an inline 6-cylinder, and extremely smooth ride. It's black exterior, and black leather interior, with dark tinted windows... reminding me of my old BMW that I had while I was in GA. (It was an '88 BMW 528i with the same features- guess I've come full circle now.) Sure, it looks a little like a mafia car, but hey, I've got no problems with that! It's a great value with no rust, and it's in really good condition. (Joe has more pictures of it on our website- link at left)

Happy Driving!
